Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, Kenneth W. Elliott, 53, of 2115 Seminary St., died at 7 a.m. Monday at Finley Hospital after a brief illness.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Egelhof Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Elwyn A. Smith, dean of the Theological Seminary, University of Dubuque, will officiate. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Elliott was born June 10, 1900, in Dubuque, a son of the late Byron and Matilda Grigg Elliott. He lived in Dubuque all his life, and was a painting contractor for many years. He retired from his business in 1948 and was recently associated with the Grand Theatre. He was married to Alys Graham, September 2, 1921, at Wesley Methodist Church, East Dubuque. He was a member of the Grandview Avenue Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; a son, John K. Elliott, Dubuque; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Ruth) Quaid, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; a brother, Joseph G. Elliott, Maywood, Ill.; an aunt, Miss Georgia Grigg, Dubuque, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Vincent and one in infancy, and a sister, Maude.
