On the 1930 U. S. census of Election District 3, Washakie Co., Wyoming, George W. Brown appears with his wife Charlotte and son George M. George was married at 26 and Charlotte was 17. George is a proprietor of a transfer line.

Obituary from Worland Grit newspaper, Worland, Wyoming, January 1975. George W. Brown, 91, of Worland, died Saturday at the Washakie Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1883, near Gordon, Neb., the son of Frank and Eliza Brown. In 1896 he came to Big Trails with his parents and worked as a rancher until 1907 when he went into the freighting business with string teams and wagons. In May 1910, he married Charlotte Smith at Big Trails. He moved to Ten Sleep later and continued to be a freighter with trucks. He retired in 1963 and spent the winters in California and summers in Wyoming. He was a member of Ten Sleep Lodge No. 46 of Mason and Signal Cliff Chapter of the O.E. S. He is survived by one son, Morgan Brown, Worland; one daughter, Mrs. George (Amanda) Moore, Cody; one brother, Ray L. Brown, Worland; three sister, Mrs. Florence Wain, Worland, Mrs. Clyde (Stella) Lybyer, Casper, and Mrs. Fern Bishop, Oregon; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
