John Logan Kirkpatrick

From the Obituary Collection at the Farmington, Missouri Library: John Logan Kirkpatrick, 94, died Aug. 19 in Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. He was born Feb. 1, 1895 in Patton to the late John Curry Kirkpatrick and Eliza Green Kirkpatrick. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida M. Sifford and one son John Luther Kirkpatrick. Mr. Kirkpatrick was employed as a machinist with St. Joe Lead Company in Flat River for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dexter; a veteran of world War I and a member of World War I Veterans Association of Bloomfield. He is survived by one daughter, Marie Medcalf of Dexter; one son-in-law and three grandchildren, nine great-grand children; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Rainey Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Larry Long officiating. Burial followed in the Essex Cemetery.
