Sarah Elizabeth Aycock

Calhoun Times, Calhoun, Georgia, March 20, 1968: Mrs. C. S. Wright, Sr., age 81, passed away Thursday, March 14, in an Montgomery, Ala., hospital following several months of declining health. She was the former Miss [Sarah] Elizabeth Aycock of Gordon county, was a Methodist and had made her home in Ft. Deposit, Ala., for the past 37 years. She taught in the Fulton County School System for 15 years. Survived by one son, Shelor Wright, Jr., of Fort Deposit, Ala.; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Wells of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Roy C. Collier and Mrs. S. W. Haines, both of Atlanta and seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Wright were conducted Saturday, March 16, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. John Bledsoe officiating. Royal Teague and Mrs. George Hayes had charge of the music. Nephews served as pallbearers. Interment in Fain Cemetery. Obituary from Digital Library of Georgia, Dlg.galileo.usg.edu.
