ADA ALMA UNDERWOOD
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m., in the First Baptist Church of Stratford for Mrs. Ada Alma Underwood, 90 of 600 South Hyden, Stratford. Rev. Jim White officiated at the services. Mrs. Underwood was born August 29, 1873, and passed away March 14, 1964, in the Twin Nursing Home, Stratford. She spent most of her early life at Clarksville, Arkansas, and had lived in Stratford since 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stratford.
Survivors include three step children, A. H. Underwood of Stratford, Mrs. Ruby Harper of Camden, Arkansas and Mrs. Rural Dawson of Wenatchie, Washington; several nieces and nephews, including Mr. Solon Brown of Stratford, Mrs. Marion Lynn of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Robbie Johnson of Arkansas; and sixteen step grandchildren. Burial was in the McGee Cemetery, directed by the Stratford Funeral Home.19 Mar 1964.
