"Barney" Kirkpatrick, 69, of 1514 16th St., Moline, Ill., died at the Franciscan Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill. on Monday Nov. 6, 1989. Funeral services will be held at the Wheelan Funeral Home in Rock Island on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born on April 6, 1920 in Sesser, Ill., the son of Hiram and Effie Dycus Kirkpatrick. He was married to Mary Schmidt Kirkpatrick on Feb. 18, 1956 in Chicago, and she survives. He was a salesman for Midwest Publishing Co. and was a Naval Aviator during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post in Moline and a member of the Quiet Birdmen of America. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Trisha Kirkpatrick of Aurora; Lisa Kirkpatrick of Coal Valley, Ill.; Diane Kirkpatrick of Moline and two sons, Terrence Kirkpatrick, Englewood, Calif.; Craig Kirkpatrick, Newport Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Dow Kirkpatrick, Atlanta, Ga.; and Robert Kirkpatrick of Yorba Linda, California.
