In A Kirkpatrick Genealogy, The Family of James Kirkpatrick of South Carolina, Second Edition, by Melvin E. Kirkpatrick and David Hudson, 1995, page 155, concerning Arlie Addison it states...Md./1 Sarah Irene Miller, who was b. 9 Jan 1912 and d. 30 Jan. 1948; md.2/ Inez Hand.
Using census records and the marriage index of Iowa it shows that Sarah was born in 1890. Find a Grave shows Arlie and 2 of his 3 wives are buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Henry Co., Iowa. Arlie's dates are 1885-1966, Sarah is 1892-1912 and Rocksie Kirkpatrick as 1892-1948. Inez does not appear on the listing.
Burlington Hawk Eye, Burlington, Iowa, Friday, Jan. 30, 1948, Page 11, Col. 4: Mrs. Arlie Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Rocksie Kirkpatrick, 55, died in Mercy hospital Jan. 30, at 2 a.m. The daughter of S. J. and Minerva Jane Hogeland Woodson, she was born at New London on Aug. 3, 1892, and most of her life was spent there. On Sept. 30, 1917, she was married to Arlie Kirkpatrick, at New London. He survives, as do a daughter, Mrs. Mazie Ryan, of St. Louis; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Collins, of Mt. Pleasant; 2 brothers, Arthur Woodson, New London and Frank Woodson, of Long Beach, Calif., and a half-sister, Mrs. Nancy Ann Schnupper, of Spokane Wash. She was a member of the Christian church. Services will be held at the McDonald funeral home, New London, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. F. W. Eastwood will officiate, and burial will be in Burge* cemetery.
