The following is a story related to Patsy Williams by the "old folks" in Jasper: When the Civil War came along, William Y. Williams and Francis L. Williams went to war. William Y. Williams was killed in Virginia. He died on 20 June 1862. Served in the Civil War in Co. "C", 14th Alabama Infantry Regiment (Confederate), was a Private. Chambers County, Alabama; September 10, 1861, muster in Roll dated at Camp Johnstone.
