Posted at findagrave.com: The Fort Dodge Messenger, Fort Dodge, Iowa, Saturday, October 3, 2009--GOLDFIELD - Betty Ruth Sease, the daughter of Frank and Mae (Hosier) Stearns, was born February 16, 1922, in Rolfe, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Rolfe and Plover area. On August 16, 1940, Betty was united in marriage with Lewismilo Sease, the couple made their home in Des Moines. Betty lived in Des Moines for 40 years and during that time she worked many years at Bankers Life. She moved to Albuquerque, NM and then to Goldfield in 1992. Betty was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. She enjoyed quilting, puzzles, reading and caring for others. Betty passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Careage of Clarion, at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewismilo in 1979; daughter, Ellen Goff; sisters, Eunice Maulsby, Dorcas Brazier [Frazier] and Florence Dickinson and brothers, Clarence, Paul, Frank Jr. and Allan Stearns. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Howard and husband Richard of Des Moines; son, Mark D. Sease and wife Henrietta of Albuquerque, NM; son-in-law, Tom Goff of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; sisters: June Hotovec of Albuquerque, NM, Joy Sorensen of Goldfield, Connie Kraft of Goldfield, Rachel Freeman of Des Moines and Jacquelene (Jackie) Hudson of Goldfield. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. from the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery in Des Moines.
