Everett Edward Decker

Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, June 17, 1935, Page 3, Col. 5: Independence, Ia., Special: Everett E. Decker, prominent Fremont township farmer, died here at the People's hospital last week, after a long illness from Bright's disease with complications. He had been in poor health for several years and bedfast a week.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church at Masonville, conducted by the Rev. F. M. Grieva, pastor. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery here.
Mr. Decker was born May 8, 1885, in Middlefield township, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Decker. he attended rural schools and has farmed in that vicinity all his life. He was married to Miss Florence Sadler at Winthrop four years ago. He survived by his widow, four brothers and a sister, J. W., Frank and G. W. Decker, all of Winthrop and Charles of Masonville, and Mrs. A. F. Mills of Independence.
