Walter Lee was married in 1954 to Joyce Tillman, who preceded him in death on Sep. 17, 1977. He retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, after having served for over 30 years. He is a former Naval Officer, who toured the Mediterranean during the Korean War. And, was a lifelong Christian. Lee is survived by his loving partner, Mary Ann, step-mother, Earlene, sisters, Billie, Wanda, Shirley, and Donna; brother, Freddie; daughters, Regina Ann Wingate, Karen and husband, Mike Evans; son, Jeff and wife, Darlene; grandchildren, Nicole, Katie, Taylor, Rebecca, and Mary Joyce; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
