Obituary in the Minneapolis Star Tribune March 29, 2004: Alice Clason Schaller, age 95, of Richmond. Alice was an active member of Richfield Lutheran Church, the "Sunshine Lady" for her church, Mission Guild and for the Richfield A.A.R.P. Chapter and Congregate Dining, and a volunteer worker in many community activities. Preceded in death by husbands Don Clason and Berton Schaller; grandson, Danny Medin and 9 siblings. Survived by daughters, Donna (Wallace) Medin of Anoka, Janice (William) Mellgren of Michigan and Judith (Robert) Tanner of Asheville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Services Tuesday, 1:30 PM at Richfield Lutheran Church, 60th St. and Nicollet Ave. S. Visitation Monday, 5-8 PM at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S. and 1 hour prior to service at church. Private interment Pleasant View.
