Posted at findagrave.com: Glen Leroy Petersen was born in a farmhouse south of Canby, Prussia Tp., Adair Co., IA on 5 Jan 1921. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1939. He met Betty Ruth Easton during her senior year at Fontanelle High School, and with the anticipation of enlisting in the army during WWII, they drove to St. Joseph, MO with another couple and were married on 23 May 1942. He did not, however, pass the physical and then went into farming with his father, Chris Petersen. He and Betty farmed north of Greenfield until retiring at the end of 1981, at which time they moved to Creston, and later back to Greenfield. He and Betty had two children, Carol Moore and Roger Petersen, and seven grandchildren.
