Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015, in Copperas Cove Cemetery. Eldine Kate was born in Bell County, Texas, to the late Milton Aycock and Pauline Clark Aycock. She was a 1947 graduate of Temple High School. Eldine was a recipient of the Yellow Rose of Texas award. This award was only given through the Office of the Governor, recognizing outstanding Texas women for their contributions to their communities and to Texas in the preservation of its history. Eldine was also a member of the Kempner Water Supply Corporation (Kempner WSC) for many years. She was married to Clifford E. Poe. Eldine and Clifford were involved in building homes for the Cliff Creek Estates. Eldine is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Poe; son, Clifford E. Poe Jr.; grandson, Clifford "Trey" E. Poe III; sister, Mary Anna Guthrie; and brothers, Clarence and Billy Ray Aycock. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Poe Kuhen; five granddaughters; four great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; brother, Weldon Aycock; sister, Frances Graham; other relatives and many friends.
