According to a letter written by Blanche and Walter Smith to Mrs. Clara Smith, they were living at 2410 Liberty Ave., Clinton, Iowa in 1962.

Clinton Herald, Clinton, Iowa, Wednesday, August 10, 1983: Walter W. Smith, 79, 2410 Liberty Ave., died Tuesday in Jane Lamb Health Center. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday in Kingdom Hall, 944 Lincoln Blv.,Clinton, followed by cremation. There will be no visitation. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith was born July 20, 1904, in Dubuque to Charles and Sarah Sparks Smith. He married Blanche Miller, March 13, 1942, in Clinton. He was employed by Clinton Corn Processing Co. and was a member of the 25-Year Club and Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph, (Dorothy) Pangburn of Clinton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
