Kirkpatrick Jr., 57, died Wednesday at Elliott White Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Huntington, W. Va., he was a son of Mrs. Nancy Crawford Kirkpatrick Anderson and the late Joe G. Kirkpatrick, Sr. He was a retired salesman of Sears, Roebuck and Co. at Charlotte, a World War II veteran, a Mason and a Shriner. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Lane Kirkpatrick, three sons, James M. Kirkpatrick of Indian Trail, N. C., and Tim W. and Joe G. Kirkpatrick III of Matthews; his mother and stepfather , W. G. Anderson of Chester; a brother John Robert Kirkpatrick of Rockingham, N. C.; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mahaffey Funeral Home, Lancaster, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Fort Lawn. the family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the Church of the Saviour, Indian Trail, N. C., and the Leukemia Society of America.
