Paul Gladney Yongue was born 10 June 1920. On 24 August 1941 he married Irene Crawford of Fort Lawn, Chester County, South Carolina.

The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 24, 1992: Fort Lawn -- Mr. Paul Gladney Yongue, 71, of Route 1 died April 23, 1992, at Elliott White Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster. Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Fort Lawn Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. The Revs. Kenneth Barnes and Richard Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Mahaffey Funeral Home in Lancaster. Mr. Yongue, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens Co., was an elder, clerk of sessions, Sunday school superintendent, secretary and treasurer at his church. Born in Chester County, he was a son of the late Neil and Sallie Yongue. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene Yongue; daughter, Mrs. Paulette Wieland of Great Falls; brother, Neil Yongue Jr. of Surfside Beach; sisters, Mrs. Hattie Edwards, Mrs. Louise Carpenter.Memorials may be made to Fort Lawn Presbyterian Church, Route 1, Box 202, Fort Lawn, S.C. 29714, or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1142, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
