Times Post, Houston, Mississippi dated August 28, 2002: Services for Audie Dee Criddle, 81, who died Aug. 20, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center, were held at 2 pm Friday at Southern Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gene O'Brian officiating. Burial followed at Wesley Chapel under the direction of the funeral home. Ms Criddle was born March 26, 1921, the daughter of John Dee Hitchcock and Ethel Clark Hitchcock Bray. She was a native of Chickasaw County where she was a former LPN and housewife. She attended Prospect Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S "Node" Criddle; her parents; and two brothers, James Robert Bray and Donald Bray. Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Gillikin of Ruthers Glen, Va., Billie McNaughton of West Palm Bay, Fla., Sandra Morris of Cedar Bluff; five sons, Jimmy Mead Criddle of Verona, Shelton Clark Criddle of Castalian Springs, Tenn., John Dee Criddle of Palm Bay, Davis Alton Criddle of Houston, and Joe Dallas Criddle of Sparta; four sisters, Evelyn Brand of Houston, Faye Dulaney of Columbus, Mary Brown of Byhalia, and Jeanette Bray of Houston; one brother, Jack Bray of Laurel; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grand-children.Pallbearers were Jimmy W Morris Jr., Davis A Criddle, Jr., Danny Allen Criddle, Daniel Criddle, Joshua Wesley Criddle, and Jimmy W Morris Sr. Honorary pallbearers were John C Edwards, James Robert Criddle, Dr. James Boyer, Leon Houser, Jimmy Simmons, John A Porter and Sam Smith.
