The Courier of Russellville, Russellville, Arkansas: Benton - William J. Kidd, 85, of Bauxite passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Shaw community to the late Moses and Annie Stone Kidd. William served in the U.S. Army during WWII, Korean conflict and Vietnam, retiring as a Major. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bettie Kidd; brother, Gean Kidd; and sister, Mary Jane Allinson. Survivors include a son, Bill Kidd Jr., daughters, Anice Tedford and husband Bruce and Karen Heiwig and husband Mike; grandchildren, Rebecca Hackworth and husband Matt and Samantha Tedford and fiancé Jeff Vitols; great-grandson, Jaxon Vitols; and sister, Boise Reaves. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Mark Norman officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.
