Topeka Capital Journal, November 13, 1992, page F1: Norman Brooke Guy Sr., 72, Topeka, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992 at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Guy worked for Van Doren, Hazard, Stallings Engineers for 32 years before he retired June 30, 1982. He served in the Army from Jan. 29, 1942, to Jan. 7, 1946, as a medic in the 313th General Hospital during World War II. He was born July 19, 1920, at Sedan, the son of Erwin and Delores Reich Guy, and graduated from Sedan High School. He also attended Washburn University and graduated in 1950 with a degree in Geology from Kansas State College of Agriculture at Manhattan. He came to Topeka in 1942. Mr. Guy was a member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral. He was married to Joan Hill on Dec. 24, 1943. She survives. Others survivors include a son, Norman Brooke Guy Jr., Topeka, two grandsons; and great- grand daughter. Mr. Guy was cremated. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Hope Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N. W. Rochester Road, 66617. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
