Funeral services were held Saturday at Andrews Funeral Home in Canon City for Mrs. Bess Idel Dakan. The Rev. Wesley Steinmetz officiating. Burial was in Christus Gardens of Mt. Vale Memory Gardens. Mrs. Dakan died Wednesday in a Canon City hospital at 54. A resident of Canon City for five years, she was born Aug. 24, 1919 in Georgetown. She was married Oct. 2, 1937 [1938] in Idaho Springs. She is survived by her husband, Frank William Dakan; a daughter, Dorothy Olson of Denver; a son, Charles W. Dakan of Las Vegas, Nev., and four sisters, Dorothy McKenzie of Canon City, Roberta Green and Ethel Sand, both of Denver, and Betty Bingham of Tulsa, Okla.
