Alexandria Daily Town Talk Louisiana, November 26, 2005: Visitation with the family of Carlos Edward Kirkpatrick will be held at 4301 Stillmeadow Lane, Pineville from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005. Carlos Kirkpatrick, 55, of Pineville passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at Huey P. Long Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leroy and Mildred Bernice Watts Kirkpatrick and his younger brother, William Leroy Kirkpatrick, Jr. (Bill). Survivors include his brother Jeffrey Scott Kirkpatrick of Pineville and his sister Lynda Lee Kirkpatrick Zaunbrecher and husband Karl of Saranac Lake, New York and Kelly Jane Kirkpatrick Rawson and husband Michael of Pineville. Carlos was a graduate of Bolton High School in 1968. He attended Northeast Louisiana University in 1968-1969. Carlos then traveled to California. Upon returning, he attended LSU in Baton Rouge, majoring in Landscape Architecture. Carlos traveled to Colorado where he lived for a number of years before returning to Louisiana. Carlos was a loving son and brother, a devoted and generous uncle, a fun-loving cousin and a loyal friend. He loved nature, spending time with his three nephews and four nieces, and walking with his German Shepherd, Blue. His family enjoyed his simple philosophy of life and especially his gentle sense of humor. Carlos believed strongly in the traditional American values of God, family and country. His home was filled with things he loved such as artifacts, books and animals. Carlos enjoyed creating folk art and playing chess.
