Arthur Roscoe Hill

Arthur Roscoe Hill was born 20 December 1907 at Bodarc, Sioux County, Nebraska, and died 23 May 1967 in Douglas, Converse County, Wyoming. He married on 22 July 1936 in Gering, Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska to Gladys Gayle Graves, daughter of Frederick and Florence (Ambercrombe) Graves, who was born 25 February 1915 in Brady, Lincoln County, Nebraska.
After their marriage, Art and Gladys lived in Douglas, Wyoming. He was a mechanic and a skilled machinist. After her children were old enough, Gladys went back to work, first as a bookkeeper, and then as the manager of a retail store. Art and Gladys were both Methodists.
There were three (3) children born of the marriage.

He received his education in Bodare and Sioux County High Schools. He came to Wyoming in 1932 where he remained the rest of his life, residing in Douglas the past 35 years. He was married to Gladys Graves July 22, 1934 in Gering, Nebraska. They were the parents of three children, Frederick, Constance and Thomas. Surviving are his wife, Gladys; two sons, Frederick of Calif.; Thomas of the family home; and a daughter, Constance Horne of Florida; also four granddaughters, Leslee and Rochelle Hill and Angela and Nancy Horne; four brothers, Ray, Platte Center, Neb.; Ed, Crawford, Neb.; Clyde, Harrison, Neb.; Clarence, Springdale, Utah; three sisters, Frances DeHaven of Harrison, Neb.; Leona Corbin and Irene Hymer, Crawford; and numerous other relatives.
