Opal Hays, 84, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2003 in Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hays; mother, Carrie Johnson Patrick; and two brothers, Hobert Johnson and John Patrick. She is survived by a daughter, Nannie Hays of Williamsburg; two sons, Dr. Thomas Hays and wife Joan of Newark, Ohio and George W. "Bud" Hays and wife Joyce of Williams-
burg; six grandchildren, Brad Hays and wife Elaine of Ohio, Craig Hays and wife Mandy of Ohio, Kevin Hays and wife Cathy of Williamsburg, Aaron Hays and wife Joey Ohio, Elaine Ruiz and husband Mike of Ohio and Hila Rose and husband Jeff of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Watson of the Mount Ash Community in Williamsburg and Marie Nelson of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Virgie Johnson of Williamsburg; a special brother-in-law, Thomas Junior Hays and wife Ola of Williamsburg; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Croley Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Fred Powers officiating. Burial will be in the Davis Addition of the Highland Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. today (Monday) at the Croley Funeral Home. The Croley Funeral Home of Williamsburg is in charge of all arrangements, Andy Croley and Jerry W. Croley, directors.
