The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, Wednesday, January 23, 2002: Mollye A. Platt, 96, of Memphis, nurse for 46 years, died Tuesday at Saint Francis Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. She was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Mrs. Platt, the widow of James G. Platt, leaves a daughter, Bettie Durham of Memphis; three sons, James G. Platt Jr. of Atoka, Robert L. Platt of Woodlands, Texas, and Thomas H. Platt of Orange Park, Fla., 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Church Health Center.
