Royal Navy. Mate in H.M.S. Belleisle and H.M.S Vindictive, then served in H.M.S. Magnificent and H.M.S. Formidable on Home, Jamaica and Mediterranean Stations, 1841-45. Sailed on Terror discovery ship in Sir John Franklin's Arctic Expedition, May, 1845, and was lost with his leader. Unmarried.
