"Who succeeded his father as Rector of Winwick. Educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge (B.A., 1799, M.A., 1802). Rector of North Repps, Norfolk, 1806-12. Rector of Winwick, 1812-55. He was responsible - with Mr. A.W.N. Pugin, the well-known architect - for the re-building of the chancel of Winwick Church, which was completed in 1848."
