Individual Details
John Mullins
(Abt 1740 - )
Virginia Land Purchase Records show that one John Mullins in 1652 purchased land through Capt. Augustine Warmer of Gloucester County probably in either James City of Charles City County. This is the earliest record found of the name in Viriginia and may have been the ancestor of Eleanor's father John Mullings. The only place found where the name was spelled Mullings was in the Reve. War records of Job Hamblen furnished by the commission of pensions, Washington, DC - and the spelling may have only been the notion of the agent or oficial who made out the application.l
