ONTARIO COUNTY MARRIAGE REGISTER (1858-1869) VOL1 - P.94
John DRINKALL, 25, of Reach, born Canada, son of Joseph and Anna DRINKALL marries
Mary McDONALD, 24, of reach, born Scotland, daughter of Malcolm and Florida McDONALD
on December 11, 1860 by Rev. Joseph Simpson or Rev. Joseph Markham, witness: Duncan McMullin of Reach. These are Susan Mary (my grandmother), Flora and Hannah's parents.
The 1886 death of Mary DRINKEL seems to explain the story I have been told about my grandmother Susan - that she was keeping house for her father, John, and was not allowed to leave that home and live with my grandfather (her husband) - John Francis KELLS - born April 5, 1870 - until she was expecting their second child (my father, Cecil Clifford - born April 20, 1902.) She had already had Ethel born June 26, 1896. John KELLS and Susan DRINKILL were married on June 22, 1896 by James Rollins. The witnesses were John Kells and Mrs. Wm. Mayne (Hannah). He was living in Wyebridge and she in Waverley.
