Based upon the 1900 census which list year of birth as 1863, it list her age as 66. So reverse engineering the age from the census date gives you a birth year of 1834. The census also includes the birth month.

According to the marriage lic issued by the City, Mary is the widow of the late Edward O'Brien at the age of 19

Look at the attached portion of the 1900 census which indicated Mary Murphy (nee Byrnes) had 9 children and 5 are living.

Burial

Initially buried at St Patrick No1 but about 1888 William B Murphy had the bodies transferred to Metairie Cemetery.
The note is written by Cecil J Murphy, but if Mary Byrne died in 1915, who's body was moved from St Patrick's cemetery ?
