My Woulfe family came from the parish of Athea, Co. Limerick. I have been DNA-matched by Ancestry with descendants of several branches of the Woulfe family of the townland of Cratloe in Athea so it is likely Mary's family were from Cratloe. Due to the large number of Woulfe families in the Cratloe area at the time and the repetition of first names within these families, much more research needs to be carried out before I can make progress on determining who exactly Mary's parents were. For the moment, however, I am positioning Mary as a daughter of Maurice James Woulfe and Ellen O'Dower as, amongst all the Cratloe Woulfe families in my family tree, it looks most likely to me that she was a child of theirs. This assumption is based mainly on my Ancestry DNA matches but there were other Woulfe families living in Cratloe at that time about whom I have no information.
