According to a public family tree on the Ancestry website, Martin's parents were Michael Gordon (born about 1795) and Winifred Moran (also born about 1795). However, from Ancestry DNA matching it appears that Martin was definitely a sibling of Patrick (born c.1807) and Thomas (1821) who I have been told by family sources were defintely born to Cormac/Thomas Gordon and Ann Hunt, although I have no documented evidence to support this. Further checking would need to be carried out to clarify who the parents of all the siblings actually were.
