(1914 - 17 Jul 1976)
Peter, an only son, was an engineer. After university he joined the army, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel with the Royal Engineers. It appears he met his wife, Liza, when serving in Tralee as, according to a piece in The Kerryman newspaper of 19 October 1951 following the death of Liza's mother, Peter was "in charge of the coastal survey unit which had been stationed in Tralee" at the time of his marriage to Liza.
Peter retired from the army in 1956 and subsequently worked as a consultant engineer in Kenya.
