Gordon worked for a time at the Hibernian Bank, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, and may have later lived in Dublin, prior to emigrating to the United States in late 1909. He lived for several years at 2741 Pearsall Ave., The Bronx, New York. The 1940 census tells us that Gordon was a widower and worked as a draftsman for the gas and electric company. He later moved to Wood Ridge, New Jersey, not far from Ridgefield Park where his sister Eva lived. It is not known if he had any children.
