According to the 1911 census of Ireland, Katie and Patrick had been married for 12 years and had six children born alive, all of whom were still alive at the time of the census.
I have been told by a family source that following the the death of her first husband, Patrick, Katie began training as a nurse in Dublin in order to provide for her family. She later married a widower, John Lynch, from Mohill, Co. Leitrim to where she and younger children moved. I am told Katie and John had no children.
