The 1939 Register tells us Clara was living in September 1939 with her family at Croft Farm, Saunders Avenue, Bredworth, Warwickshire. Living with them were her brother Joseph and his family.

Note: there was another Clara Mullett who was involved in the funfair business in England around the same time and who married the well-known Lancashire showman Pat Collins.This was not Clara above, although I think it likely they were related given the shared surname and the funfair connection. The Clara who married Pat Collins was born around 1800 and married Pat in 1935 in Walsall, East Midlands. She carried on the business after Pat died in 1945.
