Individual Details

Michael LYNCH

(6 Jun 1877 - 5 May 1960)

Sponsors at Michael's baptism were Bernard Doherty and Cecily Doherty.

Michael went to Boston where he became a policeman. He was the president of the Boston Socialmen's Club which became the Boston Police Union just prior to the Boston Police Strike of 1919. He was known to his family in ireland as 'Uncle Mac'. He and his wife, Celia, had one son and four daughters. We know the names of his son and one of his daughters (please see below) and it is thought that another of their daughters was Celia, a nurse, who visited Ireland with her father around 1950.
