Individual Details
Hanora (Nonie) THORNTON
(Abt 27 Jun 1859 - Aft 2 Apr 1911)
Sponsors at Nano's baptism were Thomas Relihan and Mary Kearney. Her date of baptism does not tie in with her age as given in the 1911 census (44) but ages given in census returns are quite unreliable as people like to shave a few years off their real age or, as was common in days gone by, they genuinely did not know their exact age as birthdays weren't celebrated as they are today.
I am told Nano "was born with a disability but lived a lengthy life". She never married and lived in Kilbaha, probably with her brother James as she is listed with him and his family in the 1911 census.
