Maurice Richard WOULFE

According to obituaries of various family members on www.irishnewsarchive.com we learn that Maurice was "a native of Cratloe" and was "taken as a child to north Kerry" and that he had been living for some time in Knockanasig, Listowel, Co. Kerry prior to emigrating to the United States. We are also told he was well known in racing circles in Ireland as the owner of a successful racehourse named Dimby (officially Denbies).

Maurice emigrated in 1849 with his family and niece Margaret Maher.
