Individual Details
James (Jim) HUDSON
(29 May 1883 - 18 Jun 1947)
Sponsors at Jim's baptism were James Casey and Catherine Casey.
Jim followed in his elder brother Richard's footsteps and worked as a policeman in England. He joined the Metropolitan Police in 1905 and spent 25 years in the force before retiring in 1930. The 1939 Register tells us Jim later worked as a "nightwatchman, supervisor".
At the time of his death in 1947 Jim was living at 33 Victoria Road, Edmonton, London, where he and his wife, Irene, had lived for many years.
