Johan Jungermann

(20 February 1837 - 26 November 1904)

Johan Jungerman and his wife Maria Anna Feye emigrated in 1881 with their children Marg born 1864 in Soegel and married twice (Eilerman and Blankman); Anna Thecla born in 1866 and married Gerhard Feld; Bd/Benj born in 1872 married Kerssens; Heinrich born ca 1875 in Germany and died in St. Louis in 1951. On the immigration records, Johan's parents' names are given as Johan Bernard Juengermann and Anna/Maria Gabina Klene. In the 1900 Missouri census, the family was living in St. Louis and five of their six children were living.

Johan's month and year of birth were on the 1900 census and his parents' names and place of birth were noted on his marriage record. Soegel parish records were checked and a corresponding birth/baptism record was found there for him one year earlier than the census indicated.
