Warren Edward WYSE

Warren E. Wyse, 76, Archbold, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Heartland of Wauseon, where he had resided since. Sept. 29, 1999. Born Jan. 3, 1923, near Stryker, he was a son of Joseph and Mabel (Short) Wyse. He married Nellie Schmucker on Oct. 8, 1942, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 1999. He farmed in the Stryker area for many years, worked at the former Challenge Cook Bros., Bryan, and also was a clerk for Yoder & Frey Auction, Archbold, for many years before retiring in 1996 and moving to Archbold. He was a member of the Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker. Surviving are three sons, Jerry (Lois) Wyse, Haven, Kan., Ronald (Karen) Wyse, Camden, Mich., and Kenneth (Brenda) Wyse, Creston, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Sandra) Miller, Elkhart, Ind.; and Mrs. Jay (Cynthia) Preston, Mosinee, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mahler (Virgie) Wyse, Archbold. Services were Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Lockport Mennonite Church. Allen Rutter and Mark Miller were the officiating pastors. Burial followed in the Lockport Cemetery.
