Leland Curtis WYSE

Leland Curtis Wyse, age 73, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. Lee was born in Wayland, Iowa on March 10, 1940, the son of the late Maynard and Bernice Wyse. He received his degree in Wildlife Management and Fisheries Biology from Oregon State and spent four years working for the United States Army in army intelligence. On June 9, 1962, he married Glenna Joy Wyse, who survives. Lee has spent the past 25 years running Rainbow Hills Vineyards, was the former Coshocton County Commissioner, and was a board member of the Coshocton Foundation, and Jones Metal; and on the Board of Trustees for Central Ohio Technical College. In addition to his wife, Lee is survived by a brother, Douglas Wyse of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Linda (Russ) Smucker of Zanesville, Ohio; nephew, Peter (Angie) Smucker; niece, Susanna (Gene Paul) Parish; uncle, Wesley (Evelyn) Wyse; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by a sister, Berdene Barnes; and one uncle, Orlin Wyse. A private celebration of life will take place at Rainbow Hills Winery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
