Edward Gilman

( - 1653)

Edward was one of the four young men who were permitted to build a gallery in the first meeting house in Hingham March 11, 1645. Edward was in Ispwich in 1647, Exeter in 1652. Whether Abigail was Edwards first wife or second is uncertain, it is stated he was the son-in-law of Richard Smith. Edward went to England in 1653 to obtain mill gear and was lost at sea.
