Enoch Hunt and Hannah Hathaway; ack. 8 April 173- [torn]; recorded 10 April 1734 (ibid, 22:149) Seth Briggs of Attleborough granted to Nehemiah Fisher of Norton 3 acres to take up 'on the right side of William Briggs, dec'd' for L3.10s 24 April 1734; wit Rachel Leonard and Jean Newell; ack 1734; recorded 1738/9 (ibid 27:422) Seth Briggs of Norton granted to his son Solomon Briggs of Norton in 1759; wit John Briggs; recorded in 1763 (ibid 46:210) Seth Briggs of Norton granted to son Jacob of Norton in 1765; recorded in 1766 (ibid 49:541) Seth Briggs wasa member of the Norton Train Band in 1757 (Massachusetts Archives Volume 95, p.380) and that same year served as corporal on the Fort William Henry expedition where he was detained in Boston for 2 days (ibid 97:197)
