Ælfthryth, Princess of Wessex was born in 875.2 She was the daughter of Ælfræd, King of Wessex and Eahlwið, Princess of Mercia.3 She married Baldwinus II 'de Kale' Graaf van Vlaanderen, son of Baldwin I 'de Ijzeren' Graaf van Vlaanderen and Judith, Princesse de France, between 883 and 899.4 She died on 7 June 929 at Flanders, Belgium.4 She was buried at St. Peter's Abbey, Ghent, Belgium.4
She was also known as Ælftrud (?).
