Rev. Hon. Walter Shirley was born on 28 September 1726.1 He was the son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges.1,2 He married Henrietta Maria Phillips, daughter of John Phillips and Henrietta Eccleston, on 27 August 1766.1 He died on 7 April 1786 at age 59.1
He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was the Rector at Loughrea, County Galway, IrelandG.1
