EDWARD FERRERS, Esq. of Baddesley Clinton, inherited the estates upon the demise of his father, in 1760. He m. in 1763, Hester, dau. of Christopher Bird, Esq. of London, and by her, who d. in 1822, had two sons and seven daus, viz.

i. EDWARD, his heir.
ii. Thomas, a Major in the army, who served during the whole of the Peninsular war, and was killed by a fall from the ramparts of a fortress in France, in 1817.
i. Hester, d. unm.
ii. Lucy, was the third wife of Robert Willoughby, Esq. of Cliff, by whom she left a dau, Madeline, m. 26 May, 1820, to Richard-Thomas Bateman, Esq. of Hartington Hall, co. Derby.
iii. Frances, d. unm.
iv. Maria, m. to Court Granville, Esq. of Calwich Abbey, co. Stafford.
v. Catherine, m. to — Edwards, Esq.
vi. Elizabeth, m. in 1803, to John Gerard, Esq. of Windle Hall, in Lancashire, and was mother of the present Sir John Gerard, Bart. of Bryn.
vii. Anne-Teresa. m. 1st, to Henry Clifford, Esq., Barrister at-law, brother to Sir Thomas-Hugh Clifford-Constable, Bart., and grandson of Hugh, iv. Lord Clifford ; and 2ndly, to Edward Hebden, Esq., who d. 30 Jan. 1843.

Mr. Ferrers d. 25 Feb. 1794, and was s. by his son,
