WILLIAM FERRERS, Knt., of Chartley, co. Stafford , was born about 1412 (aged twenty-three and more in 1435/6). He was married to ELIZABETH BELKNAP, daughter of Hamon Belknap, of Seintlynge in St . Mary Cray, Kent, Knell, Sussex, etc., by Joan (of Magna Carta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne), younger daughter and in her issue co-heiress of Thomas Boteler, Knt., of Sudeley, co. Gloucester (descendant of Charlemagne). SIR WILLIAM FERRERS died on 9 June 1450 s.p.m. His widow died on 28 May 1471.
