George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury was born in 1528. He was the son of Francis Talbot, 5th Earl of Shrewsbury and Mary Dacre.2 He married, firstly, Gertrude Manners, daughter of Thomas Manners, 1st Earl of Rutland and Eleanor Paston. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hardwicke, daughter of John Hardwicke, on 9 February 1568. He died on 18 November 1590.
He gained the title of 6th Earl of Shrewsbury. As a result of his marriage, George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury was styled as 11th Lord Furnivalle [E., 1295] on 25 September 1560.2
